Professionalism, Attention to Detail, and On-Time Delivery
We had two false starts with other contractors before Builder took the job on. They re-sequenced the schedule in the first two weeks, told us plainly which of our dates were not achievable, and then hit every one of the dates that were.
The site team was the same team from groundworks to handover. That mattered more than anything in the tender documents — nobody had to be told twice what the building was supposed to be.
We opened eleven days early and came in under the contingency. I have recommended them four times since.
They Kept a Working Hospital Working
Our support center went up forty feet from a functioning ward. Noise, dust and deliveries were all constrained, and the constraints changed week to week.
Builder put a liaison on site whose only job was talking to our ward managers. In fourteen months we lost no clinical sessions to the works.
That is not something you can write into a contract. You either get it or you do not.
An Honest Program, Which Is Rarer Than It Should Be
The thing I value is that they told us in month three that the cladding package was going to slip, rather than in month nine when it already had.
We re-planned the retail fit-out around it and nobody lost money. A contractor who reports bad news early is worth more than one who quotes lower.
We are on our third scheme with them.
